Leica X1

I have been using some of the Leica, in fact I am the Fan of Leica, Since M2, M6, MiniLux, SumiLux Titanium body (exact model I really forget)
Now this is my next buy target X1 as it is not as high as M9 which is Euro 7,500.
This X1 is About HKD$16,000.00 (USD$2,000) a real grass root class Hi End camera!
Look at the Red Logo , I think it is valued half the price of the camera already.

Well, it is newm I think I have to ait for the 10 batches of camera such that most of the major mechanical and electronics bugs have been rectified. And the price will likely drops a bit. Though I can not expect a drastic price drop but 5-10% is desirable for a HK Snob like I.

May be you are already There!

A small sampan docked in a tiny fishing village at Sai Kung. Though this place has becoming commercialized in recent yeas, but there are still a lot of people doing fishing for a living.

An American tourist complimented the old fishermen on the quality of their fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

"Not very long." they answered in unison.

"Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" The fishermen explained that their small catches were sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families as they stay at Sai Kung and they have what they need, besides, they do not need to worry on place for staying as they have their old village house their father passed to him.

"But what do you do with the rest of your time?" The Gwai Low asked"We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children, and take Char Siu bao with our wives. In the evenings, we go into the village to meet our friends, have a few tea, play the flute, and sing a few Cantonese Operas…

We have a full life." The tourist interrupted, "I have a PHD from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."

You can then leave this little village and move to the bigger fisher port like Aberdeen selling fishes to the Jumbo restaurant for instances.

"And after that?" the old Fisherman said,"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. Did you ever see the movie Forrest Gump, he made a fortune this way and became Fortune 100 millionaire! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."

"I watched Forrest Gump movie with my kid and I think that is a touching movie, but How long would that take?"

"Ten, fifteen, perhaps twenty years." replied the Gwai Low tourist.

"And after that?"

"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting, " answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make big money like millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the old fishermen.

"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, perhaps in Southern China, or you can move to Canada, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a Char Siu Bao cake with your wives and spend your evenings drinking tea or and enjoying your friends."

“That’s what we are doing now!!” Replied the fishermen.
